9. Unfinished Business -
- USAWOA Northern Lights Chapter Website: Chapter President brought up the issue from June on the status of the Website. Curtis Cain explained the status of the Website stating it will be live by 11 Sep 08. There is normally a cost of $100.00 associated with the website but he is willing to donate the site for at least the first year. Curtis owns a Domain Company and is honored to do this for our chapter. He will be sitting down with the Chapter Officers to ensure what we want to see on the website. This is still unfinished business.

10. New Business – Chapter President requested volunteers for the following positions: Membership Committee Chair, Assistant Vice President for Retired and Reserve/National Guard Affairs and Memorabilia. He also had Chapter Vice President Erin O’Hara explain what the chapter wants to do for community support.
a. Membership Committee Chair - The goal of the Membership Committee Chair is to bring up ideas to the chapter on how to bring in new members to this chapter. The goal of the Chapter President is to double our membership by one year. Curtis Cain volunteered as the Membership Committee Chair. The membership committee chair will solicit members during the next meeting.
b. Assistant Vice President for Retired and Reserve/National Guard Affairs - These committees will give Retirees and Reserve and National Guard personnel important information and keep them updated on current events. The President did not get any volunteers for both committees. He requested the membership to think about it and call or email him if you are interested. This will go into Unfinished business until volunteers are designated.
c. Memorabilia Custodian – The Chapter needs to establish memorabilia that is unique to Alaska and can show off our Chapter. To make this happen we need a volunteer for the memorabilia custodian. Chapter President requested but nobody volunteered. This will go into Unfinished business until a volunteer is designated.
            d. Community support – Chapter Vice President explained the importance of giving back to the community and getting this Chapter more visibility. Erin will take the lead for this chapter by soliciting the membership. She passed out surveys and requested each individual to pick 4 charities and the results of the survey will be announced during the next meeting. This will go into Unfinished business.
